Wheatstone Ministries (www.wheatstoneministries.com) is pleased to announce the launch of a new and independent nonprofit organization: the Christian Adulthood Initiative (christianadulthood.org).

Effective January 1, 2021, the Christian Adulthood Initiative (CAI) will carry forward the summer camp and youth ministry work that has been stewarded by Wheatstone Ministries since 2005, and that started at Biola University in 2000. For 20 years, this work has reached thousands of youth and families with the good news that Christian adulthood is the best, truest, most beautiful way to be human.

Longtime Executive Director of Wheatstone Ministries, Peter David Gross, will step into the role of President at CAI with the full support of the Wheatstone team. Meanwhile, Wheatstone’s Founders, Mike Kiley, John Siefker, and John Mark Reynolds, will begin a new chapter of ministry at Wheatstone (wheatstoneministries.com), focused on rapid national growth and pointed responses to culture change.

Wheatstone’s President, Mike Kiley, writes, “As our culture spins further in the wrong direction, we think we have reached a strategic inflection point. It’s time to reflect on the past and re-envision the future. We are proud of Peter and of the impact we have had together in the lives of so many students, and now it’s time to pass the baton. We believe the Christian Adulthood Initiative has a great future and will continue to make a significant difference in the lives and churches it reaches. The more resources we can bring to our culture, the better!”

Peter David Gross writes, “We at CAI will always be grateful for the vision and support of our Founders. Their time, talent, and treasure have safeguarded this ministry since it began, and the legacy of their leap of faith will live on for decades to come.”

CAI’s President, Peter David Gross writes, “I’m thrilled to bring the work of the last 20 years to a new home where we can continue to provide the Christian adulthood events and resources that families and churches need. We at CAI will always be grateful for the vision and support of our Founders. Their time, talent, and treasure have safeguarded this ministry since it began, and the legacy of their leap of faith will live on for decades to come.”

CAI’s Founding Board will include Jeremy Julian (Chairman), Stephen Salisbury (Secretary), Connor Collins (Treasurer), Gabriel Choo, and Tina Wong. John Mark Reynolds will Chair CAI’s Advisory Board and continue as Keynote Speaker at summer camps.

Incoming Chairman Jeremy Julian writes, “I am pleased to have partnered with Peter and his team to continue this important initiative.  The number of people walking away from their faith in high school, college and early adulthood is staggering.  I am proud of the work that Christian Adulthood Initiative has embarked on to bring more people to his kingdom.”
